Description
Lee Gaddies has been an activist his entire life from facing
Neo-Nazism in high school to being denied a small business loan to watching
neighbors houses torn down by banks. The fight not to be marginalized is
a passion. Some of Lee’s more notable efforts include fighting for
transit dollars by meeting with Congressional representatives and senators (PBS
documentary); demanding housing justice for brown and black families in Detroit
(CNN news), and holding elected officials accountable by every means possible.
Activism requires action.
Professionally, Lee is a graduate of the Center for Creative
Studies for design, a Michigan State Fellow for Urban Planning and a small
business owner, Gaddis Gaming, the only black manufacturing company of tabletop
miniature games.
