USDA’s Data Validation Service: A Cloud-Based Solution to Improved Verification Reporting

March 11, 2020

The USDA data validation service (DVS) is a set of data edit checks designed to improve the quality of school meal verification data. Hosted and maintained by USDA, the DVS is designed to work with existing State systems and is part of an ongoing, USDA effort to help improve program processes without increasing burden. The webinar will provide an introduction to the DVS project and broadly describe the steps that are required to make the data call to the application programming interface, or API. The webinar is intended primarily for State agency staff and their IT partners.
Successful completion of the webinar and quiz is awarded 1 SNA CEU for RDNs/NDTRs.
