Encore | A Series of Annual Meeting iSessions

We will discuss current Financial Reporting Standards for Asset Management and Financial Reporting purposes. College/Universities and Medical Centers are facing many challenges with their pre- and post-COVID-19 asset management and financial reporting requirements. We will have an interactive dialog to review and discuss these matters for a go forward basis.

    Kevin J. McHugh is a Vice President with Maximus's Higher Education Consulting Practice based in Northbrook, IL. Kevin is the National Practice Leader for Maximus's Asset Management & Valuation Services Practice and has more than 35 years of dedicated experience within the Higher Education, Academic Medical Center/Healthcare, Federal and State and Local Government communities throughout the United States.

    Mr. McHugh brings more than 35 years of asset management and valuation consulting experience within these market sectors, and focuses on Public/Private Partnerships, Infrastructure Valuation Studies (utilities, airport, roads, bridges, railways, tunnels, etc.), Building Componentization/Fixed Equipment Inventories, Moveable Equipment Inventories, Physical Space Inventories, Asset Lifing Reviews and Analysis and Fixed Asset Policies and Procedures Reviews and Recommendations. Additional professional service offerings include Fixed Asset Inventory Costing/Reconciliation and Valuation Studies, Real and Personal Property Valuation Studies, Insurance Valuation Studies and Fixed Asset Outsourcing Services.

    Mr. McHugh specializes in assisting clients to manage their financial reporting, asset stewardship and compliance requirements for various reporting standards as promulgated by: the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB); Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB). Prior to joining Maximus Higher Education Consulting, Mr. McHugh was a Managing Director with Navigant Consulting and a Senior Vice President and National Managing Director with American Appraisal Associates.

    Mr. McHugh currently serves as a Task Force Member/Technical Advisor to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) and is a frequent speaker on various valuation/property management topics for numerous professional organizations throughout the United States, including:
