This course is a quick overview designed specifically for those new to the subject or those looking for a review or refresher to sharpen their understanding or to help prepare for a certification examination. The course will begin by covering the basic engineering principles of fluid power. Then we will review the key mechanical components: pumps, actuators, and controls. We will then review the common accessory components: accumulators, filters, and reservoirs. Finally, there will be a very brief discussion of fluid functions, fluid types, fluid properties, and fluid care and maintenance.
