Participants will learn about alternative strategies for preventing uncontrolled microbial contamination from reducing the performance life of water-miscible metalworking fluids (MWF). Topics to be covered will include: formulating MWF with microbicides and bioresistant functional additives, and tankside microbicide additions. Participants will learn about the importance of biofilm control as an essential element of microbial contamination control.
