Description

Polymethylacylates are unique polymers that have both inherent properties and can enhance formulations with their proper use. We will explore the history of PMAs, properties these polymers can bring to formulations and equipment benefits, when and how to use them, and some economics around their use.

    Gavin Duckworth has been in the petroleum industry since 1986 and worked in the lubricant additive market for 25 years. Gavin has an Environmental Engineering background and is currently the Executive President and Co-Founder of Novel Reliable Technologies. Gavin shares a US Patent holder – “Process for preparing low sulfur dispersant polymers”. Novel Reliable Technologies (NRTech USA) is a specialty additive manufacturer which is proficient in additive and component chemistry in the lubricant market involving automotive and industrial segments and grease markets. NRTech USA produces engine oil packages, ATF packages, TO-4, small engine, and component chemistry include ZDDP, PMAs (poly(methacrylates), dispersants, tackifiers, PPD (pour point depressants) and additional chemistry for the lubricant and grease blending.
