Over the last 30 years, churches have learned that there are individuals in the congregations who will abuse and engage in sexual misconduct. These individuals may be members, guests, or staff employees. Every church has a responsibility to take seriously the role of prevention, responsible response to reported incidents and support of victims should prevention fail.
