STLN2005 Classroom management - dealing with distracting classroom behaviours

Presenter: Jane Langley

Description:
This session is designed to support teachers to strengthen their classroom management skills. The focus is on setting clear expectations and creating effective teacher-student relationships. Despite a teacher’s best intentions students often choose behaviours that make the classroom unsettled and reduce the time focused on learning. This session will focus on a toolkit of things to think, say and do to address these behaviours firmly and fairly, so that relationships are maintained, and expectations reinforced.
