Reading and writing in the primary classroom are intricately linked. The wider a student’s vocabulary the more they will be able to read and the more detailed the writing will become. Effective teaching strategies to encourage reading, build comprehension and further develop knowledge of writing for content and across different structures and genres is important. This session will work through a series of strategies and techniques that will help build students' capacity to read and write more effectively and support improvement in all areas of literacy.
