CRT2240 Building social and emotional skills in primary students

Presenter: Antoinette Masiero

Description:
This session will focus on strategies, techniques and resources that you can use to support the development of social and emotional skills in primary age students. Well developed social and emotional skills help students to build their communication skills, their cultural understanding and so build their confidence for daily interactions. It is recognised that it is difficult for CRTs on short term placements to contribute to a long term developmental program for students, but there are daily routines and interactions within a classroom that promote social and emotional intelligence. The presenter is an experienced teacher, with a long history in specialised primary settings, and who now works as a CRT.
