CRT2322 Brain breaks and movement as aids to learning

Presenter: Megan Corcoran

Course Length: 1 hour(s)

Description:
Brain breaks are an important part of learning. They are small mental breaks designed to help students focus and attend. They typically get students moving and allow blood and oxygen to flow to the brain. These breaks allow students a small reset in the day and enhance energy and relaxation. These are techniques that can be used by all CRTs whether you are covering a single day or an extended contract, primary or secondary.

Standards addressed:

  • 2.6.2 Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • 3.5.2 Use effective classroom communication (with learners)
