Differential Diagnosis of Solid Pancreatic Lesions

July 25, 2015 by David B. Kaminsky, M.D., FIAC
Available for CME credit through July 25, 2018

Learning Objectives
  • Appreciate the subtle histomorphologic features that can help to distinguish well-differentiated ductal adenocarcinoma from the reactive changes in the pancreas
  • Be familiar with the entities that lead to “pseudotumoral pancreatitis” (benign lesions that clinically mimic cancer in the pancreas and periampullary region)
  • Develop a differential diagnosis for solid tumors that form schirrous lesions versus those that are fleshy-demarcated (cellular/circumscribed/stroma-poor)
Handouts are located in Resources tab above.
