Working collaboratively to bring all the members in the window, door, and skylight profession– its goal is to produce meaningful educational tools to support members and those alike, and become the “go to” resource for the industry.

WDMA Technical & Manufacturing Conference
WDMA hosted the Technical and Manufacturing Conference in June, which was streamed over the course of two days. The conference was kicked-off by a presentation on the results of WDMA’s 2020 U.S. Industry Market Study by The Farnsworth Group. Other presentations covered a wide range of topics of interest to the window, door and skylight industry ranging from updates to the 2020 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) to working with third-party testing agencies for submitting a test plan to your certification program operators.

Additional highlights from the conference included a presentation on changes to the 2019 edition of the NFPA 80, a panel discussion providing guidance on effectively using the WDMA I.S. 11 to reduce the amount of testing needed, as well as a presentation providing additional perspectives on how to most effectively balance energy efficiency and occupant comfort when selecting energy efficient windows.
