Abstract: A measured mile analysis to evaluate disruption is an established and accepted method to determine lost productivity. Using one of the forensic delay methodologies detailed in the AACE International Recommended Practice 29R-03 to determine delays to the project is similarly accepted. Traditionally, delays and lost productivity have been assessed separately. The concept of combining a productivity analysis with a delay analysis as proposed in this paper could be applied to a variety of productivity analysis methodologies and a number of delay analysis methodologies. To introduce this combined approach, a simplified, construction, linear, sample project in this introductory paper demonstrates the approach using a measured mile analysis combined with a collapsed as-built delay analysis to quantify time and cost impacts.
