Abstract: With the variety of schedule review techniques available to schedule reviewers and analysts, it is difficult to know and implement the most reliable and effective way to review a construction schedule and arrive at a clear indication of project status and schedule trends. In this paper, a process of reviewing construction schedules that follows a collection of essential factors that should not be overlooked in a schedule review will be outlined. While there are much more detailed reviewing techniques in various AACE recommended protocols, following the simple guidelines outlined in this paper will provide the basics for an effective approach to monitoring progress and identifying issues in construction schedules.
