International Institute - July 2023


Welcome to AACRAO's International Institute! We are looking forward to getting to know you and supporting your professional development over the next two weeks.

In addition to the resources listed below, please note that this training will utilize the internet to access the materials and additional resources during the four-day training, so please be bring your own laptop or tablet to D.C. 

All the resources you will need for the course are located here, in PATH, our learning management system, and will be available from Monday, July 10th and for two additional weeks after the training ends.

On-Demand Courses:
Between now and when the content will be delivered in D.C., we ask that you complete the on-demand modules. This will give you context for overall concepts that we will review before working with student records. Please note there are only on-demand courses for The Foundations, Transfer, China, U.K., Europe and the Bologna System, and India. All on-demand courses will be available for an additional two weeks after the training ends. 

Presentations:

All presentations will be uploaded to PATH the day prior to delivery of content. Presentations are in PDF for and will be a useful resource during the training and back at your desk. All presentations will be available for an additional two weeks after the training ends.

Workbooks:

The workbooks will be uploaded to PATH the day prior to delivery of content and are in interactive PDF form, which include fillable areas for notes and attachments which hold the student records that you will be reviewing. ***It is important to note that for these features to work, you will need to download the PDF workbook to your local computer and open it with a PDF reader. If you do not have a PDF reader on your computer, Adobe Acrobat has a free version here. All workbooks will be available for an additional two weeks after the training ends.

D.C. Logistics:
We will begin on 12:00pm on Monday in the National Ballroom at the Sonesta and will end at 4:30, with a break that will include small snacks. The Monday evening reception will be at Mission Dupont Circle from 6:00-8:00 and will have heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
For Tuesday - Thursday
, breakfast will be from 8:00-9:00 outside the Ballroom, and we will get started at 9:00 sharp. Lunch will be served from 12:00-1:00 and will include sandwiches and salad.
