AAHA Amplify is a cohort model primarily for traditional, full-service hospitals or practices within corporate veterinary enterprise groups seeking AAHA accreditation.The cohort model helps veterinary practices build stronger teams and achieve more return on investment. The module format allows each cohort member to prepare and focus on one area at a time. With the guidance of your cohort and instructor, you will work through your actual clinical protocols, update them based on the appropriate standard, discuss your new approach and improve upon it with your cohort and instructor's input, and make changes in your clinic as you complete each module. She has been with AAHA since 2015 and was a practice consult in her previous role before joining the team of Accreditation Specialists. Cristina resides near McKinney, TX with her husband and two children.
Her career in veterinary medicine started in 2004 as a kennel attendant and she been a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) since 2008. As a veterinary technician, she primarily worked in neurology-specialty and emergency-critical care, prior to joining AAHA. In her role with AAHA, she enjoys being able to support practices become accredited and connecting with professionals across the veterinary industry.

Megan has been with AAHA since November of 2021 and enjoys supporting member success and providing excellent customer service. Megan started her career in the veterinary field over 9 years ago and has experience as a CSR, veterinary assistant, and office manager. Outside of work, Megan is an avid runner, enjoys hiking with her dogs, horseback riding, and traveling. Megan currently resides in Virginia with her husband and two dogs.

Jessica plays an integral role on Amplify, AAHA's Group Accreditation Program and also our international projects. She has dedicated the past 10 years to Veterinary Medicine and brings a wealth of prior experience and knowledge from engineering as well. As a fellow in the Millennium Fellowship Program, Jess worked with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in One Health Management. Jess' passion for One Health brought her to places around the world, where she taught children management of livestock and domestication. -
Dj Cannon, PhD(c), MPH, LVT

AAHA Learning Strategist
Dj has devoted his life to understanding the inextricable link between humans, animals, and our world. Currently, a Learning Strategist at AAHA and a part-time professor with a veterinary technology program in Virginia. He is also an advising epidemiologist for numerous federal agencies in bioterrorism and public health surveillance. In addition to primary affiliations, Dj plays an active role in many projects and organizations across the human health, veterinary, and academic industries. Dj has a strong passion for learning and thoroughly enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with others along the way.
In his free time, Dj loves to travel everywhere possible and go on spontaneous outdoor adventures with his Australian Shepherd, Dahlia. He truly lacks the ability to sit in one place and loves deep conversations by the fire with friends as much as possible. In his role with AAHA, Dj thrives on partnering with veterinary practices to deliver the best care for companion animals, the ideal foundation for team members’ growth and development and quality education programs empowering tomorrow.
