What is MDS? From Diagnosis and Treatment

Dr. Fazal, an MDS expert from Allegheny Health Network will use a number of real life case studies to help you understand MDS and its treatment. During this program he will explain MDS, discuss possible causes and define symptoms you might experience. He will also cover treatment options for both lower and higher-risk MDS. This includes drug therapies approved specifically to treat MDS, such as chemotherapies, stem cell transplantation, and supportive care therapies like blood transfusions and growth factors. He ends with some practical tips for taking charge of your care.
