Course Description:
This course will identify, explore, compare and contrast, and apply key properties of water essential to successfully treating physical therapy clients in the aquatic environment.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify essential physical properties of water as they relate to client aquatic rehabilitation.
- Compare and contrast the physical properties of water and apply them with an understanding of their interplay.
- Apply the principles of aquatic physics to maximize the impact of aquatic physical therapy interventions.
- Apply knowledge of the physical properties of water to therapy outcomes and relationships to land activities and transitions.
