What makes a winning Chamber of the Year application? In this webinar, led by Kelle Marsalis, CCE, president & CEO of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, and Kevin Sheilley, CCE, president & CEO of the Ocala Metro Chaber & Economic Partnership, participants will get insights into application best practices. The session will cover an overview of the application, scoring and things to avoid during the process. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

  • Kelle Marsalis, CCE, IOM

    Kelle serves as the President & CEO of the Plano Chamber of Commerce. In this role she provides leadership, general management, fiscal management, and oversight of all Chamber activities for the 1000-member organization.

    Kelle has worked in membership, talent and economic development roles for more than 16 years, including positions with the Dallas Regional Chamber, Rockford (IL) Chamber, and the Stillwater (OK) Chamber of Commerce. Most recently she served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at the Dallas Regional Chamber, focusing on Board and governance, strategic plan implementation, and customer engagement.

    Kelle received her Certified Chamber Executive designation from ACCE in 2016. She is a 2010 graduate of the Institute for Organization Management and currently serves on the Curriculum Committee and National Board of Trustees as Chair-elect. She is also a 2007 graduate of CCCE. Kelle serves as a member of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors, and formerly served as a member of the Executive Committee. In 2007, Kelle, while serving as Vice President, led the Stillwater (OK) Chamber of Commerce to be named Chamber of the Year by ACCE.

    Kelle and her husband, Van, reside in Plano. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Tilly, and both are graduates of Oklahoma State University.

  • Kevin Sheilley

    Kevin Sheilley is the President/CEO of the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP), the community’s primary chamber and economic development organization.

    Kevin is the recipient of numerous awards including the national Excellence in Economic Development Award from the US Department of Commerce. The CEP was named the Florida Chamber of the Year in 2018 and ACCE’s National Chamber of the Year in 2020 after being a finalist in three out of the last four years. In 2019 he marked his 25th year in the Chamber/economic development field. Prior to coming to Ocala, Kevin had worked in chamber/economic development in Kentucky and Tennessee.
