Speaker Bio
Kim Trout is the Chair of the Clinical Practice & Health Care Systems Committee at ACNM. In addition to her clinical practice as a midwife at Pennsylvania Hospital, Kim is an associate professor at Villanova University and a member of the Identifying High-Value Health Care Working Group at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. Kim is passionate about reducing disparities and achieving equity in maternal-child health.

Mary Beth Murray, RN, BSN, MEd
Mary Beth Murray has been working as a registered nurse since 2015 in the Community Health & Equity Department of Main Line Health, a not-for-profit health care system in the Philadelphia area. Mary Beth is also a PhD student and research assistant at the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing at Villanova University. As an experienced nurse and community educator, she is committed to advocating for health and wellness for all.
Course Description
This presentation provides practical, evidence-based information to promote the value of midwifery in addressing the current US crisis in maternal-infant health. The slide deck is meant to be a useful resource for midwives to share with policymakers, healthcare system administrators, and other stakeholders to advance midwifery care in their communities.
