In this session, Dr. Jennifer Vanderlaan will present some of the policy results from the ACNM Midwifery Workforce Study.She'll review the federal policy changes that have contributed to the growth of the midwifery workforce over time, and what midwives today can learn from state policy changes in the past. The insights from this session will help you become a better midwifery advocate to help scale up the workforce!

Speaker(s) Bio
Dr. Vanderlaan earned her Ph.D. and her master's in nursing at Emory University School of Nursing. She also has a Master of Public Health in Global Health from Emory University School of Public Health. Dr. Vanderlaan researches maternal health from a health systems perspective, integrating clinical outcomes, health economics, and health policy to identify ways to improve access to quality maternal care. She is the lead researcher for the ACNM Workforce Study Project.
