Course Description
This presentation provides an introduction to Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement Systems (ERCES) for the AHJ. This includes an overview of the codes and standards, system specifications and required inspections. Reduction in radio infrastructure confusion and the impact of BDA systems on your current radio infrastructure will also be covered.

Derek A. Case is the Global Director of Marketing & Business Development for Radio Solutions, and he joined the RSI business in 2019.Derek was previously the General Manager of the Global BDA Systems Business for Honeywell Fire, after being promoted from the BDA Program Manager role he held since July 2017. Prior to that, Derek was the Global Director of Strategic Marketing, Business Development and M&A for Honeywell Fire since 2015.Derek serves as a member of the NFPA 1225 ERCES Technical Committee as the Automatic Fire Alarm Association’s / Alternate. Derek has a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing from the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology, and has completed post-graduate certificate programs in Marketing Strategy & Big Data Analytics through Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. Derek also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from LeMoyne College (Jesuit) in Syracuse.
