When I first came to Milton in 2003, we had 150 students. We are opening this year for 465 students. During my tenure at Milton, we opened a new campus and added a middle school. Prior to coming to Milton, I practiced law in both NYC and Washington, DC. I believe that much of the growth of Milton can be attributed to the ambassador program. My husband Ken Josovitz and I have two children who both graduated from Milton. One is finishing his United States Marine service and the other is living in Denver, Colorado. I graduated from Milton when it was called JPDS and was an elementary school guidance counselor before becoming a full time volunteer to many non-profit organizations. After undergraduate studies at New York University, I attended Columbia’s Teachers College where I earned graduate degrees, an M.Ed. in School Counseling and an M.S. in Psychological Counseling. I was the Co-Creator and Chair of the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School of the Nation's Capital Ambassador Program and am now the current Co-Chair of the Milton Parents Association. My husband, Pete Federowicz and I have two children who attend the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School and live in Bethesda, Maryland. Rachilev@aol.com
