Continuing Education Overview - Virtual Event

The ATIA 2024 Virtual Event offers Continuing Education Credits toward professional development requirements with over 100 education sessions in the program. Not all education sessions offered qualify for all CEU types. Please check the session's description for specific CEUs offered for that session. Registered attendees may access courses via their learner profile.

To earn CEUs for live stream sessions you attended:
  1. Navigate to the session you attended live from the Virtual Event homepage or the Free Bundle page.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the session information page. Under the Live Web Event session, click on "ATIA 2024 Virtual: Evaluation and CEU Assessments & Certificates."
  3. Complete the CEU assessment(s) for the CEUs you are interested in.
    • Note: You must complete a CEU’s assessment in order to claim a CEU. Completing the ATIA 2024 Virtual Event Session Evaluation will issue you a general Certificate of Completion for that session. It will NOT issue you any CEUs.
  4. CEUs for live stream sessions must be completed by Tuesday, April 30, 2024. You will not be able to claim any certificates for the Virtual Event after April 30.
  5. Once claimed, certificates are automatically saved to your Learning Center profile. You can access them by clicking on your name on the top right of the page and then clicking "Certificates."

To earn CEUs for session recordings:
  1. Navigate to the session you want to watch from the Virtual Event homepage or the Free Bundle page.
  2. To find session recordings, scroll to the bottom of the session details page. The recording will be listed separately from the Live Web Event.
  3. Watch the entire session recording to unlock the surveys.
  4. Click the green "Go to the next item" on the popup, OR return to the session listing page and at the bottom of the page under the recording, click on "ATIA 2024 Virtual: Evaluation and CEU Assessments & Certificates."
  5. Complete the CEU assessment(s) for the CEUs you are interested in.
    • Note: You must complete a CEU’s assessment in order to claim a CEU. Completing the ATIA 2024 Virtual Event Session Evaluation will issue you a general Certificate of Completion for that session. It will NOT issue you any CEUs.
  6. CEUs for recorded sessions must be completed by Tuesday, April 30, 2024. You will not be able to claim any certificates for the Virtual Event after April 30.

ATIA will be offering the following CEUs at the Virtual Event:
  • International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET)
  • Academy of Certified Vision Education and Rehabilitation Professionals (ACVREP)
  • American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)

Continuing Education Credits

ATIA is accredited by the International Accreditors for IACET LogoContinuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard. IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training.

Each hour of education instruction equates to 0.1 IACET CEU, and hours are rounded to the nearest tenth of an IACET CEU.

IACET CEU assessment surveys are available after a learner has finished accessing a session's live web event/recording. IACET CEU Certificates will be posted to an individual's learner profile after successful completion of the IACET CEU assessment per course.

The ATIA 2024 Virtual Event is offered for up to 104 IACET CEU Hours or 10.4 IACET CEUs.

ACVREP logo ATIA is an Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) RPPLE Category 1 Continuing Education Provider. Not all education sessions offered qualify for ACVREP CEUs. Please check the individual education session description in the Virtual Event for ACVREP CEUs.

Each hour of education instruction equates to 1 ACVREP CEU hour. Hours are rounded to the nearest half-hour. For example, a 60-minute education session equates to 1 ACVREP CEU hour. ACVREP CEU assessment surveys are available after a learner has finished accessing a live web event/recording. ACVREP CEU Certificates will be posted to an individual's learner profile after successful completion of the ACVREP CEU assessment for each course.

Courses with ACVREP CEUs are eligible for AT and BVI ACVREP CEUs.

The ATIA 2024 Virtual Event is offered for up to 97 ACVREP Continuing Education Hours.

AOTA Approved Provider logoATIA is an AOTA Approved Provider of professional development. PD activity approval ID # 8737. This Distance Learning-Independent and Distance Learning-Interactive PD activity is offered at up to 8.80 CEUs (Introductory Level, OT Service Delivery). AOTA does not endorse specific course content, products, or clinical procedures.

Not all education sessions offered qualify for AOTA CEUs. Please check the individual education session description in the Virtual Event for AOTA CEUs.

Each hour of education instruction equates to 0.1 AOTA CEUs, and AOTA CEU hours are rounded to the nearest half-hour. For example, a 60-minute education session equates to 0.1 AOTA CEUs.

AOTA CEU assessment surveys are available after a learner has finished watching the live web event/recording. AOTA CEU Certificates will be posted to an individual's learner profile after successful completion of the AOTA CEU assessment per course.

ASHA CE Approved Provider. ATIA. Various Levels. 9.50 ASHA CEUs ATIA is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) CE Provider. ASHA CEUs are offered in speech-language pathology and audiology through ASHA via ATIA's status as an approved ASHA CE Provider. Not all education sessions are offered for ASHA CEUs. Please check the individual education session description in the Virtual Event for ASHA CEUs.

Each hour of education instruction equates to 0.10 ASHA CEUs, and ASHA CEU hours are rounded down to the nearest half-hour. For example, a 60-minute education session equates to 0.10 ASHA CEUs. In compliance with ASHA guidelines, recordings under 60:00 minutes are rounded down to the nearest half hour and are eligible for 0.05 ASHA CEUs.

*Please note that ATIA issues an ASHA Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of an ASHA CEU Assessment and not does issue ASHA CEUs.

After a learner successfully completes an ASHA CEU Assessment with a 75% pass rate, the learner is awarded an ASHA Certificate of Attendance. After review by ATIA, learner records are transmitted to ASHA for processing. All ASHA CEUs for the ATIA 2024 Virtual Event will be reported after April 30, 2024. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing after this date. ASHA posts ASHA CEUs to an individual's ASHA CE Transcript.

Please note this information is also included on the Certificate of Attendance once you complete the ASHA assessment for each ATIA 2024 Virtual Event course attended.

The ATIA 2024 Virtual Event is scheduled as a live event from January 25-27, 2024. Start date of ASHA CEUs offering: January 25, 2024. This course is offered for up to 9.50 ASHA CEUs (Various levels). The Prentke AAC Distinguished Lecture is registered separately and is eligible for 1 hour or 0.1 ASHA CEUs. To ensure successful posting of ASHA CEUs by ASHA, it is critical to include your ASHA Membership number in your learner profile. Learner records that do not include an ASHA Membership number may be subject to delays in posting to the ASHA CE Registry.

To participate in the continuing education program and earn ASHA CEUs, subscribers must pay an annual ASHA CE Registry fee. CE Registry fees are paid by the participant directly to the ASHA National Office. The ASHA fee allows registration to an unlimited number of ASHA CEUs earned in a calendar year.

ATIA is an approved featured CE provider with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification for Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification logo Certification for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) CEUs for selected sessions.

Not all education sessions offered qualify for CRC CEUs. Please check the individual education session description in the Virtual Event for CRC CEUs.

Each hour of education instruction equates to 1 CRC CEU hour. Hours are rounded to the nearest half-hour. For example, a 60-minute education session equates to 1 CRC CEU hour. CRC CEU assessment surveys are available after a learner has finished accessing a session's live web event/recording. CRC CEU Certificates will be posted to an individual's learner profile after successful completion of the CRC assessment for each course.

The ATIA 2024 Virtual Event is eligible for up to 90 hours or 9.0 CRC - General CEUs. This CRCC Pre-Approval Number also includes the ATIA 2024 Orlando In-Person Event, which additionally is eligible for up to 29 hours or 2.9 CRC - General CEUs. The CRCC Pre-Approval number is included on the CRC Certificate issued once you complete a course and the CRC Assessment.
