The PRC-Saltillo Calendar and PRC-Saltillo Literacy Planner are two free resources to help you provide evidenced-based literacy intervention on your AAC implementation journey. Come see how to support your AAC learners when playing games or participating in simple sports. Learn about many resources and materials to add to your therapy cabinet for engaging, efficient and effective therapy sessions with clients using AAC. Join us to learn and play with AAC!

  1. Show two free resources for AAC implementation that can be used by all AAC team members.

  3. Create a therapy session outline/plan using three activities or resources contained in the PRC-Saltillo Calendar or Literacy Planner.

Biography

Cortney Maholtz is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist. Cortney has been an SLP for 14 years working in a variety of settings including rehabilitation, schools, and private practice. Cortney’s passion is AAC and at PRC-Saltillo she enjoys getting to help others on their AAC journey as a training and implementation specialist.

Biography

Beth Waite-Lafever is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and has ATP certification from RESNA. With over 30 years of experience in the field of AAC, she has supported AAC communicators, their families, and service providers in various settings, including outpatient rehab, private practice, and public school, Beth has provided trainings and presentations at the state, national and international level. She loves talking AAC and literacy, supporting families and teams, and all things implementation.
