Overview

People with disabilities face unique reading challenges that aren’t necessarily solved by simply utilizing e-books versus physical ones. E-book readers still may struggle with maintaining focus, tracking text line by line, understanding vocabulary or comprehending the story, recognizing the structure of the text, or even seeing or navigating the content or user interface. With Kindle apps and devices, readers can have an accessible and delightful reading experience by using features thoughtfully designed to support the needs of readers with disabilities. In this session you will learn how to think about and design for accessible reading experiences and learn how to utilize available Kindle features to support accessibility.
