Did
you attend a CAPCSD webinar about Admissions and Student Success during the
fall of 2023? If yes, please join the CAPCSD Online Professional Development Committee
for a capstone forum.
This session focuses on admissions and student success topics
presented through a guided discussion. Topics to be addressed include mentoring
and supporting underrepresented and diverse students, admission considerations
for programs, interviewing in admissions, and instructional design principles
that support students. Previous webinar sessions hosted by CAPCSD introduced
each content area. This session will be moderated by members of the CAPCSD
Online Professional Development Committee with this session aims to
spark conversations, foster collaborations, and facilitate implementation in
higher education settings in communication sciences and disorders.

Speakers
Erin Lundblom PhD CCC-SLP
Erin E.G.
Lundblom, PhD, is an associate professor and the director of clinical education
for the Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Pittsburgh.
Lundblom has worked in various pediatric and adult clinical settings including
a position as a clinical instructor in an campus based clinic. Her areas of
clinical and research interest include the provision of school-based language
and literacy services including service delivery options, best practices in
clinical education, and SoTL. Lundblom has presented at regional, state, and
national conferences about clinical education. She has also contributed to the
Council of Academic Programs in CSD. First as a two-year member of the online
professional development committee, and more recently as the chair of the committee.Disclosures

Jana Waller, MS, CCC-SLP
Jana Waller, MS, CCC-SLP is an associate dean in
the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance (HSHP) at Ithaca College.
She also teaches graduate seminars in professional practice and a counseling in
SLP course in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
(SLPA). Jana's other primary areas of interest include interprofessional
education and practice (IPE/IPP) and leadership/administration.Disclosures
