Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP) presents Reducing Liability in Your Medical Office, a free webinar to
teach you how to identify risk areas in your practice.
This
risk management program is presented by CAP Senior Risk Management and Patient
Safety Specialists Dona Constantine, RN, and Susan Jones, CPHRM. You will
receive practical tools and strategies aimed at mitigating risk in your office.
Even minor changes in this area can ultimately increase patient safety and
satisfaction.
The hour-long program will:
- Identify key components for an effective risk management plan and tools for the practitioner office, including front office, back office, medical records, and education and training.
- Identify key operational risk areas and ideas to reduce risk, such as effective communication, documentation, recall and tracking, medication management, and more.
- Address staff “scope of practice” issues with licensed and non-licensed office staff.
- Discuss critical issues of documentation with both paper medical records and electronic medical records.
- Discuss methods to increase patient satisfaction and patient safety, such as the quality of the patient experience.
- Discuss how to utilize the CAP Risk Management Self-Assessment Kit.
Webinar attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the CAP Risk Management Self-Assessment Kit. The webinar will be recorded and emailed to registrants who are unable to attend the live event.
