This course will examine three main themes that are developed in the Book of Genesis: the revelation of God in Genesis and the Creation of Man; the account of the Fall and the Promise of Redemption, and the origins of the Chosen People of God and the meaning of Covenant.

This online independent study course examines three main themes that are developed in the Book of Genesis. Furthermore, it will examine Catholic methods for reading the text of Genesis and the Old Testament narrative in general. Participants who complete this course should have acquired an appreciation of the revelation of God in Genesis and the Creation of Man; the account of the Fall and the Promise of Redemption; and the origins of the Chosen People of God and the meaning of Covenant.
