The presentation will cover substantive legislation affecting real estate enacted during the recent NC Legislative Sessions including: Remote Electronic Notarization, North Carolina Farm Act, business and corporations, North Carolina Farmland & Military Protection Act, Community Associations, Foreclosures, real time payments/Good Funds Settlement Act, Transfer on Death Deeds, Tax Foreclosure, Legislative Privacy Act and Judicial Privacy Act, and the relevant uniform acts being considered by the Uniform Laws Commission. Also, enacted and pending federal legislation potentially impacting the practice of real estate law in North Carolina, including the Corporate Transparency Act.
