Door Hardware 5: Multipoints

Multipoint hardware has been used in Europe for many years. It began making its way into the American market in the mid-1980’s. Multipoint hardware is used for many reasons – stability, flexibility, and security being the primary reasons. By definition, “multipoint” refers to a mechanism that routs out the edge of a door, and “bolts” into the jamb, head and threshold on a single door, and into the head and threshold on an “inactive door” (of a pair). This course will teach you everything you need to know to sell multipoint door hardware.
