Cabinet and Architectural Hardware

In this course you will learn:
Hardware is the “jewelry” of cabinets! The failure to select appropriate hardware to complete a project can be devastating in both looks and function. It is just as inappropriate to wear sneakers with a tuxedo as it is to select modern plastic pulls for a vintage antique cabinet! Too often, people will select the finest materials, have them crafted into the finest cabinets, doors and drawers by the master craftsmen and then finish it off with the wrong hardware. The selection of hardware is an important detail. As everyone knows, it is the attention to details that distinguishes the extraordinary from the common. This course will give you the tools to confidently sell cabinet hardware.

Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, participants will be able to understand:
  • Describe the terminology used in specifying cabinet and architectural hardware
  • Familiarize the salesperson with common types of mountings
  • Assist in techniques of selling cabinet hardware
  • Define appropriate terminology

A score of at least 90% is required to pass, and questions are selected from a pool and will show in random order. Participants may retake the test until they pass, and the questions will pull from the pool in random order with each retake.
