Whether you are involved at your agency in license negotiation, maintenance, finance, or administration, you need to understand license agreements to effectively do your job. This session will introduce you to federal license agreements by describing the various sections of a typical federal license agreement and providing an explanation of the importance of the various terms. This webinar will help attendees understand the obligations (of both the licensee and the licensor) under a federal license agreement. Using examples from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), this program will provide an explanation from an experienced practitioner of the sections and terms of typical license agreements, with attention to those most relevant to technology transfer.
