Occasional Invaders and Indicator Species
The class runs from 9 am to 11 am.

Please be reminded that each attendee must log into the GPCA website with a unique to them email, log into the Zoom class on their unique device, attend the class on an independent device, have a camera that is ON showing the attendee's face, and attend at least 55 minutes of each hour of class. Failure to comply will jeopardize the receipt of CEUs.

Registration does not mean you must attend. It means you will receive the information allowing attendance to these VIRTUAL Events. The system automatically generates certificates if you meet the requirements. If you do not receive your certificate within 24 hours of the event, don't hesitate to contact Lydia at lydia@gpca.org.

    Lisa Ames, M.S. —Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in Entomology (1987) and master’s degree in Entomology with an emphasis in Nematology (1990), both from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She worked as head research and field technician for four years under Dr. Robert Vander Meer examining fire ant bait enhancement and colony dynamics before going to Purdue University where she worked with stored product pests and with rewriting the Urban IPM correspondence course. Since 2002 she has supported Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service via the Homeowner Insect & Weed Diagnostics Lab at the University of Georgia’s Griffin Campus. There she identifies homeowner insect samples and provides control recommendations for the extension agents of Georgia.
