Description Contributors Lisa Ames Lisa Ames, M.S. —Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in Entomology (1987) and master’s degree in Entomology with an emphasis in Nematology (1990), both from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She worked as head research and field technician for four years under Dr. Robert Vander Meer examining fire ant bait enhancement and colony dynamics before going to Purdue University where she worked with stored product pests and with rewriting the Urban IPM correspondence course. Since 2002 she has supported Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service via the Homeowner Insect & Weed Diagnostics Lab at the University of Georgia’s Griffin Campus. There she identifies homeowner insect samples and provides control recommendations for the extension agents of Georgia.
