Optimizing Topical Management of Glaucoma

Activity Overview

This session, which was included as part of the 2023 Ophthalmology 360 Summit Series, will review traditional and novel agents in the management of ocular hypertension (OH) and open-angle glaucoma (OAG), including monotherapy and combination regimens. Attention will be given to mechanisms of action, factors that need to be considered in treatment decision-making, and strategies for improving treatment adherence.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for an audience of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other members of the healthcare team who treat patients with glaucoma.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
  • Describe the safety and efficacy of FDA-approved and emerging topical treatments for OH and OAG
  • Explain the best approaches for topical treatment selection and ongoing management of OH and OAG
  • Discuss strategies for improving patient adherence to topical treatments for OH and OAG

Criteria for Success

To obtain a certificate of completion, a score of 70% or better on the post-test is required. Please proceed with the activity until you have successfully completed this program, answered all test questions, completed the post-test and evaluation, and have received a digital copy of your certificate.
