TENth circuit
As of 2022, twenty states have fully legalized marijuana and there remain only four states in which it is fully illegal (the remaining states have some mix of legal and illegal usage). Colorado was a pioneer in this space with cannabis legalized for medical use since 2000 and for recreational use since late 2012. But because marijuana is still listed as a Schedule I drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act, there are unforeseen and unintended consequences for bankruptcy cases which still fall under federal - not state - jurisdiction. Come aboard for this Magical Mystery Tour through the bankruptcy issues involving the growing, buying and selling of legalized marijuana.presenters
