T# Assignments

review your "T" numbers

These assignments are critical to know and understand as you prepare for the program. They are referred to in both the Instructions and Performance Order document.

This is how you will know what to prepare for the training: please pay attention to your assignments!

T numbers are assigned based on a variety of factors, such as:
  • Experience levels/years in practice
  • Gender
  • Inn membership
  • Place of work (size of firm, solo, etc.)
  • Type of practice (private vs. public, etc.)
  • Area of practice (litigation, IP, family law, etc.)
The idea is to have each group evenly mixed up, "T" numbers somewhat evenly matched, and to put you off your game a wee bit (if someone is a prosecutor in real life, they are defense, and vice-versa).

There are more civil attorneys than criminal litigators and that's okay - remember that the purpose of the ICC fact pattern is to level the playing field a bit so that you concentrate on your oral advocacy rather than worrying too much about the rules of a trial (although you do have to pay attention to that a bit, as well!).
