This 90-minute webinar provides public health professionals
with a basic understanding of radiation preparedness and describes how public
health and partners agencies work together to prepare and respond to radiation
emergencies.
Objectives:
By the end of the webinar audiences will be able to.
- Recognize the different types of intentional and unintentional causes of radiation emergencies.
- Understand the roles of federal partners in radiological preparedness and response.
- Understand the roles of state and local partners in radiological preparedness and response.
- Identify priority public health planning actions including planning for vulnerable populations for state and local radiological preparedness and response.
- Define risk communication in the context of a radiological emergency.
