Course Description
The Investments Certificate Program offers classes from the basics through advanced knowledge of investment income taxation. Attendees will leave the program with an understanding of the different types of investment income and how the tax code treats each. It will also address stock options including when and why some are treated as wages and others as investment income. Presenters


Beth Logan, EA
Beth Logan, EA, is the owner of Kozlog Tax Advisers. Her business provides tax preparation, representation, tax advise, and business consulting for clients throughout the US and globally, focusing on Massachusetts. Logan became an Enrolled Agent in 2013 and has been a member and active participant in MaSEA and NAEA, including two years as MaSEA President and one year as NAEA Education Chair. She has presented many tax classes to Enrolled Agents and laypersons, writtennumerous articles, and written three books on taxes, including the latest, Divorce and Taxes After Tax Reform. She has two electrical engineering degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from University of Maryland, College Park.

Chelsea Rustek, EA
Chelsea is an Enrolled Agent, working in the taxation field since 2014, with a concentrated focus on individual and small business tax preparation. She graduated from Saint Leo University with her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Chelsea is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Florida Association of Enrolled Agents. She is also a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and Florida Notary.

Ben Tallman, EA, USTCP
Ben Tallman is an NTPI Fellow with a degree in Business Administration. Ben has taught for many years at local, state, and national organizations. He has served on the NAEA Education Foundation and is a prior GAEA education director. Ben is a regular on Tax Talk Today and has conducted numerous webinars and podcasts over the years. He is a US Tax Court practitioner and writes articles of interest for the NAEA & NATP Journals. Ben operates a tax practice and representation business in Atlanta.
Continuing Education

If you have not received your CE Hours in your IRS PTIN Account by the end of the month after receiving the certificate, please contact NAEA at education@naea.org. IRS Requirements for live webinars require at least 50 minutes per hour of attendance and answering 3 out of the 4 polling questions. For on-demand, you must watch the full video, answer the knowledge check, and pass the assessment with a score of 70% or above. No partial CE is offered.
