Where to find your Certificates
Amount of CNE Available
Virtual NASN2020 attendees will earn 15+ CNE contact hours; additional CNE can be earned for every poster viewed and evaluated.
Virtual NASN2020 PLUS attendees will earn all that is included in Virtual NASN2020 PLUS a minimum of 8 CNE contact hours for PLUS content.
How to Obtain CNE and Certificates of Completion
Attendees paying the appropriate registration fee will receive Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours for the program attended and evaluated within the 90-day allotted window. In order to qualify for CNE contact hours and earn a certificate, attendees will need to complete these steps:
  • Attendees must stay for the entire program, no partial credit.  NOTE: If you miss a portion of a session when it broadcast on a specific day and time, you are required to view the session recording.
  • Attendees will:
    • Complete and pass a post assessment for each session
    • Complete a session evaluation for each session.*
    • Complete a demographic questionnaire.**
    • Complete an overall evaluation.***
  • There will be multiple certificates of completion.
    • Each day in the schedule will have its own certificate.  
      • To earn a certificate, attendees will complete evaluations for all sessions scheduled on the day associated with the daily certificate.  
      • If you were not able to view the Screenager documentaries on Day 2, please contact NASN for a custom CNE certificate for Day 2.
      • If you were a speaker and need a custom CNE certificate for the day you presented, please contact NASN.
    • Each poster will have its own certificate.
    • Each PLUS session will have its own certificate.

Attendees have 90 days to complete evaluations to receive CNE credit for the program. NASN encourages you to evaluate sessions you attended each day while the information is fresh in your mind to provide the most accurate evaluation possible.
Requests for an extension on the 90-day CNE deadline must be submitted in writing, mailed to the NASN office, and include a $60.00 processing fee payment. Extensions will not be granted for programs hosted or presented more than 12 months prior to the extension request. View or print the request for extension form.

According to the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation guidelines, 60 minutes = 1 contact hour.
