Program Overview
This 60-minute panel discussion will provide an overview of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action and explore opportunities for NASN state affiliates to engage with nurse-led state Action Coalitions around policy solutions. The Center to Champion Nursing in America is a national initiatives of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which coordinates the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative of the same organizations working to build a healthier America through nursing. Nurse-led state Action Coalitions include community representatives from health, business, education, and other sectors by using evidence to drive policy change for healthier communities.

The session will be an interactive discussion allowing time for the presenters to provide attendees with essential knowledge and takeaways that are replicable. This session allows time for thoughtful reflection, candid conversation, and audience questions. The goal is to offer tangible opportunities for school nurses to coordinate strategies with Action Coalitions to produce mutual collaborations and develop policy leadership in health equity.
