Program Overview
Whether you have a permanent seat at the proverbial table, or you have to pull up a folding chair, your voice must be heard. However, it is not just about having a seat at the table that matters, it is giving voice and advocating for those who are not at the table. We know that when change agents are missing at the table, the solutions will be insufficient for students, schools, and communities to win for holistic student health. Come learn how to leverage our learnings and networks to transform and create long‐term change within our schools.

Learning Outcomes
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
  • Articulate their role as an advocate for youth and their communities.
  • Identify two tools for advocacy in their school.
  • Describe two ideas and approaches that place student health as a school priority.
Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
