CLAS in School Nursing: An HHS & NASN Webinar

Release Date: 11/23/2016
Expiration Date: 11/23/2020
Originally presented as a webinar on November 23, 2016

This recorded webinar is offered by Think Cultural Health at the Office of Minority Health, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and the National Association of School Nurses.

This presentation discusses culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) in school nursing. It presents ways that school nurses can provide the best care possible to every student and family they serve, no matter their cultural or linguistic background.

A discussion guide accompanies this webinar. It is designed to guide a small group of school nurses through a deeper exploration of the information in this webinar. It provides talking points, discussion questions, and group activities. The discussion guide can be used in a variety of ways: you may pause the webinar at any time to work on related activities, review the discussion guide after the webinar, or use the discussion guide in a group training such a staff nursing meeting.
