Program Overview
The purpose of this session, which will share new NASN Clinical Standards of Asthma, is to enable the learner to articulate evidence-based best practices related to school nurse practice in caring for youth with asthma at school and develop a plan to ensure these standards into their practice.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  • Articulate evidence-based standards for care related to asthma;
  • Recognize the evidence related to pulse oximeters, peak flow meters, and spacers; and
  • Develop a plan to apply the material into practice.

Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
