Onboarding Bundle for Coordinators

The Onboarding Bundle for Coordinators is designed for staff new to a GEAR UP program. This onboarding bundle will help establish the skills and knowledge that any practitioner in GEAR UP should encompass. Taking this as part of an onboarding will allow the individual to learn the basics of these five topics and get a jump start into their new role within a GEAR UP program.

This bundle captures the basics of several essential skills for Coordinators in GEAR UP programs. First, explore the challenges faced by public school, terminology associated with schools and GEAR UP programs, and learn how to more effectively serve your GEAR UP community in Functions and Challenges of Schools. Then, solidify your knowledge in best practices and problem solving with Best Practices and Strategies in Education. Advance into Collaboration where you will learn how to foster deeper relationships with the communities that your program serves. Finally, cement the basics of communication in a pair of courses - First, build your skills in crafting a message and tailoring it to a specific audience in Communication for Coordinators. Then, work through the Micromodule, How to Create a Communications Plan as you simultaneously learn and build your own communications plan.

Taking this bundle will give coordinators a strong foundation as they establish skills and best practices to perform in their roles.
