Geothermal Operations: Applying Groundwater Expertise

Estimated Contact Time: 1 hour

Credits:

  • Continuing Education FAQs
Program Description:
In recent years, several water well drilling contractors have diversified their business operations to include the construction of vertical boreholes for closed loop heat pump systems. In addition to understanding when and how these boreholes differ from water supply wells, the contractor must be prepared when things don’t go “desktop,” as several challenges may present themselves when the drill bit hits the dirt. Actual case studies will be presented in the webinar, along with specific examples of how adjusting, adapting, and redesigning on the fly enabled the successful completion of the project.
