Program description:
This is a one-hour class geared toward any drilling or pump service contractor who needs to understand the basic requirements of working in a surface mine. It is an updated presentation discussing the equipment requirements, training requirements (Part 46 vs. Part 48) and inspection requirements for working in a surface mine. I will focus on the questions I received last year as well as on the new work place exam that is now being enforced as well as the electrical inspections and grounding requirements I did not discuss in detail last year. I also will go over task training and the correct way to fill out a 5000-23.
