Target Audience This continuing education (CE) activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners and other clinicians who provide women's and gender-related healthcare.

Educational Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1. Discuss potential causes of heavy menstrual bleeding in adolescents.
2. Describe components of an initial evaluation of heavy menstrual bleeding in adolescents.
3. Discuss the management of heavy menstrual bleeding in adolescents with hormonal and nonhormonal medications.
